By approval · By advance reservation
One yacht. Unhurried days.
A few weeks a year.
Volare is a privately owned Dufour 48. She isn’t in a charter fleet and isn’t listed on booking platforms. A small number of charters are approved each season, for experienced, licensed sailors or for parties sailing with an approved independent captain. Each charter is reserved months in advance.
i.
Captained or qualified only
Volare goes out with highly experienced, licensed operators, or with an approved independent captain your party engages. Every charterer is reviewed personally.
ii.
Two seasons, one yacht
Summers on the Chesapeake, among Annapolis, St. Michaels and the quiet Eastern Shore creeks. Winters in the Caribbean, with passages along the East Coast in between.
iii.
Reserved months ahead
The calendar is deliberately short. Most charters are confirmed six to twelve months in advance, and each one is held only by a signed agreement and deposit.

The yacht
White hull. Matte metallic blue.
She was delivered new from La Rochelle in 2026 and specified for long, comfortable weeks aboard. There are four cabins, air conditioning throughout, a watermaker, a generator, Starlink, and a hardtop with 1,100 watts of solar. Her shallow-draft keel opens up the anchorages other yachts sail past.
